1. Scope

These terms cover all content published at kibokatalog.com: bibliographic records, cover images, category classifications, price and print status information, together with the text, design and software of the site.

Visiting the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you should not use the site.

2. Ownership of the data

Kibo Catalogue is the product of systematic compilation, verification and updating carried out since 2000. Substantial investment, in both quality and quantity, has gone into building the database and into collecting and arranging its contents.

All rights in the database and its contents belong to Mentis Bilişim ve Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti. and are protected under Turkish Law no. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works.

The fact that the record of an individual book is publicly available does not remove the rights in the database, which is those records collected, verified and arranged as a whole.

3. Prohibited uses

Without our written permission, the following are strictly prohibited:

• Collecting all or a substantial part of the catalogue data by automated means (scraping, crawling, bulk downloading)
• Copying records into another database, site, application or file
• Republishing, distributing, selling or transferring the data to third parties
• Using cover images by direct link instead of downloading them to your own server
• Using the data to train, develop or feed an artificial intelligence model
• Sending automated requests at a rate beyond normal use that places load on the system
• Circumventing access restrictions, rate limits or technical protection measures

4. Permitted use

You may search the catalogue record by record, view the pages you find and share their links. Individual and reasonable use is free.

If you want to use the data in your own system, the way to do it is the Kibo Data Service. A written data and update agreement is signed, the IP address of the connecting server is registered, and the data is served to you regularly within an agreed scope.

That route is better not only legally but technically: the data stays current, arrives in standard formats and does not depend on the appearance of the site.

5. Automated access and robots.txt

The site's robots.txt file states plainly that the catalogue section and the data endpoints are closed to automated crawlers. Access that ignores this statement is a breach of these terms.

All automated access tools, including artificial intelligence crawlers, are subject to this rule. Access that disregards it may be blocked technically.

6. Trade marks and content rights

The names Kibo, Kibo Catalogue, Kibo Index and R Kitap, together with the logos, belong to Mentis Bilişim ve Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti. The text, design, layout and software of the site are protected in the same way.

Book titles, author names and publisher brands belong to their respective rights holders and appear in the catalogue for descriptive purposes only.

7. Limitation of liability

Catalogue data is taken from the source and verified regularly; even so, prices, print statuses and record fields may contain errors or delays. The data is provided as it is.

The site is built to run without interruption, but maintenance, technical faults or outages at the source service may occur. No liability is accepted for indirect loss arising from such interruptions.

8. In case of breach

Where a breach of these terms is established, access may be blocked without notice; our right to pursue legal and criminal remedies is reserved.

Compensation may be sought for loss arising from the breach.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Courts and Execution Offices of İstanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction over any dispute.

The terms may be updated without prior notice; the current version is always published on this page.
