1. Data controller

The data controller under this notice is the company below. Article 10 of the Law requires its identity and contact details to be stated plainly.

2. What personal data this site processes

The Kibo Catalogue website is not designed to collect personal data from visitors. There is no membership, no account creation and no sign-in.

The only cookie used is a functional one that remembers your chosen interface language. It contains no identifying information. Details are on the Cookie Policy page.

No analytics, advertising, measurement or behavioural tracking tools are used. No visitor profiles are built and no cross-site tracking takes place.

3. The contact form

The form on the contact page currently sends no data to any server. What you type never leaves your browser; it is not recorded, not stored and does not reach us.

To get in touch, please use our email address. When you email us, the information in your message is processed solely to answer your request.

If the form is ever connected to a real channel, this notice will be updated and the data processed will be stated here.

4. Catalogue searches

When you search the catalogue, the text you type is sent to our server and from there to the catalogue database so the query can run.

These queries are not linked to your identity, are not stored as separate records and no search history is kept. Catalogue search requires no membership.

5. Technical records and hosting

Like any server on the internet, the infrastructure hosting this site may keep access records (IP address, request time, browser information). Such records are necessary for the system to run and stay secure; we do not use them for marketing, profiling or any other purpose.

Once the hosting provider is chosen, the country the server sits in and any transfer abroad will be stated plainly in this section.

6. External sources

Fonts are served from our own server. This means your browser makes no request to a third-party font service when the page loads.

Book cover images load from our content delivery network. While fetching an image your browser makes a technical request to that address, and your IP address is visible to that server during it. No data beyond the image request is shared.

The site carries no social media plugins, no embedded external video and no third-party advertising code.

7. Transfer of personal data

Because no personal data is collected through this site, there is no personal data of yours transferred to third parties, business partners or abroad.

Where a legal obligation arises, information may be provided to authorised public bodies to the extent required by law.

8. Retention period

As no personal data is collected, there is nothing to retain. Your language preference cookie is kept in your browser for one year and you may delete it from your browser settings at any time.

If you contact us by email, the correspondence is kept for as long as your request requires and for the limitation periods set out in the applicable legislation.

9. Your rights under Article 11 of the Law

Anyone whose personal data is processed may apply to the data controller and exercise the following rights:

• To learn whether their personal data is being processed
• To request information if it has been processed
• To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
• To know the third parties at home or abroad to whom the data has been transferred
• To request correction where the data is incomplete or incorrect
• To request erasure or destruction under the conditions in Article 7 of the Law
• To request that correction, erasure and destruction be notified to the third parties the data was transferred to
• To object to a result reached against them through analysis carried out solely by automated systems
• To claim compensation for loss suffered because of unlawful processing

10. How to apply

You may submit requests about your rights in two ways: by email to [email protected], or by a written and signed letter sent to the address below.

Your application must clearly state your name, surname, Turkish ID number, an address for notification and your request. Depending on its nature, your request is concluded free of charge within thirty days at the latest. Where the process incurs a separate cost, the fee set in the Board's tariff may be charged.

11. Changes to this notice

This notice may be revised in line with technical changes to the site and updates to the legislation. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
