ONIX 3.0 output added to the data service
For library and international distribution integrations, the ONIX 3.0 message format is now among the standard outputs.
Until now the data service produced output in XML, JSON, CSV and MARC21. ONIX 3.0 has been added to the list.
Why ONIX
ONIX is the internationally accepted message standard for the book record. Overseas distribution channels and library systems expect the record in this format; the need to write an intermediate converter disappears.
How to get it
Passing a format parameter to the existing endpoint is enough. Authentication and call limits are unchanged.
